Mining and conveyor technology
Hilgefort has extensive experience in the field of conveyor technology, both in Germany and overseas. The biggest project to date included a 2,000 t shifting head system that was manufactured – complete with electronics, belts, motors, gearboxes, electrics and hydraulics – installed on site and commissioned for an open-cast mine. Hilgefort GmbH has also manufactured and installed 17 drive stations. One station weighs approximately 400 t.
Hilgefort has a framework agreement with RWE Power for the construction, conversion and maintenance of the conveying systems at their lignite open-cast mine.
